Process Engineer's Note: Viscosity & Stroke Rate

When dosing high-viscosity chemicals (like PAM or concentrated polymers), you must derate the maximum stroke frequency. Operating a solenoid pump at 300 strokes/min with thick fluids will cause incomplete diaphragm return (cavitation) and severe flow degradation. Always select a Motor-Driven pump for viscosities exceeding 100 cP.

Wet-End Architecture

1. Solid PTFE Diaphragm

The heart of the pump. Machined from a single piece of pure PTFE (Teflon), ensuring absolute chemical compatibility with any acid, alkali, or oxidant. Tested for over 50 million strokes without fatigue or rupture.

2. Double Ceramic Ball Valves

Both the suction and discharge valves utilize double ceramic balls. This ensures a perfect, instantaneous seal on every stroke, preventing backflow and guaranteeing exact volumetric injection even at 20 bar pressure.

3. Heavy-Duty Worm Gear (Motor Series)

For our high-volume JZM series, the motor drives a rugged worm gear mechanism housed in a cast iron (HT200) bracket. The mirror-polished bearing box ensures frictionless operation and doubles the mechanical lifespan.

4. Non-Volatile EEPROM (Solenoid Series)

The digital controller features built-in EEPROM memory. In the event of a plant power outage, all stroke and frequency settings are permanently saved without requiring a CMOS battery. The pump resumes exact dosing immediately upon power restoration.

Process Engineer's Note: Vapor Lock & Cavitation

When dosing Sodium Hypochlorite (NaOCl) or Hydrogen Peroxide (H2O2), the chemical naturally off-gasses. If gas bubbles accumulate in the pump head, the diaphragm will compress the gas instead of pushing the liquid, resulting in "Vapor Lock" (zero flow). Always install an Auto-Degassing Pump Head or a manual bleed valve for these specific chemicals.

The WD-PH-6001 sensor continuously monitors the neutralization tank, sending instant pH values to the local controller.

Foot Valve & Strainer

Included in the box. A ceramic-weighted foot valve with an integrated strainer ensures the pump only draws clean chemical from the bottom of your PE tank, preventing debris from clogging the check valves.

Injection Valve

Included in the box. A spring-loaded injection valve (1/2" thread) to install directly into your main water pipeline. It acts as an anti-siphon valve and ensures the chemical mixes instantly into the flow.

Tubing Kit

Should I choose a Solenoid or a Motor-driven pump?
It depends on your flow rate and chemical viscosity.

1. Solenoid Pumps are best for low flows (under 50 L/h) and high precision. They are ideal for RO antiscalant and pH adjustment because they easily accept 4-20mA signals for automated control.
2. Motor-Driven Pumps are built for brute force. Choose them when you need to inject large volumes (50 to 2000 L/h) of chemicals, such as PAC or PAM in wastewater clarifiers.
Can your pumps handle thick PAM (Polyacrylamide) solutions?
A standard solenoid pump cannot handle thick PAM (it will stall). For PAM, you must select our WD-MOT-MD (Motor-Driven) series. The mechanical gearbox provides the torque necessary to push high-viscosity fluids (up to 1000 cP) through the check valves.
My pump is running, but no chemical is coming out. What's wrong?
This is usually Vapor Lock (common with Sodium Hypochlorite) or a clogged foot valve. First, open the manual bleed valve on the pump head while the pump is running to expel any trapped gas bubbles. If liquid still doesn't flow, check the ceramic ball valves in the suction/discharge ports for debris or crystallization.
Are your pumps compatible with SEKO and ProMinent tubing?
Yes. Our solenoid pumps use the exact same standard tubing connections (4/6mm or 8/12mm) as SEKO Tekna and ProMinent Concept Plus. You can swap the pump head or the entire pump without changing your existing PE/PVC tubing.
What is your warranty policy?
We provide a 12-Month Warranty on the pump motor, solenoid coil, and main circuit board. Please note that wet-end parts (PTFE diaphragm, ceramic balls, O-rings) are considered consumables. The warranty is voided if the pump is run dry for extended periods or if operated against a closed discharge valve without a pressure relief valve installed.
How do you guarantee the flow rate accuracy before shipping?
Every single WANDONG dosing pump undergoes a rigorous Wet Test (FAT) at our ISO 9001 facility. We run the pump on a test bench with pure water against its maximum rated backpressure (e.g., 10 bar) to verify volumetric accuracy and ensure there are absolutely no leaks from the diaphragm or check valves before boxing.
