The MBR Arsenal.
Hollow Fiber vs. Flat Sheet.

We don't force a single technology onto your project. We manufacture both major MBR architectures, allowing you to optimize for either CapEx (Municipal) or extreme resilience (Industrial).

Municipal / High Volume

Reinforced Hollow Fiber (HF)

The undisputed king of municipal wastewater. Offers the highest packing density (m² per m³ of tank volume) for lowest CapEx. Our fibers feature a braided PET inner support tube, achieving >600N tensile strength to completely eliminate fiber breakage. 100% drop-in replacement for SUEZ ZeeWeed 500D.

High Packing Density Lowest CapEx
Industrial / High MLSS

Heavy-Duty Flat Sheet (FS)

The ultimate tank for industrial effluents and landfill leachate. Rigid ABS backing plates mean absolutely zero hair clogging or fiber tangling. Tolerates extreme MLSS up to 18,000 mg/L and allows for aggressive in-situ chemical cleaning. 100% drop-in replacement for Kubota and Toray TMR140.

Process Engineer's Note: Flux vs. MLSS Dynamics

Operating flux must be inversely proportional to the Mixed Liquor Suspended Solids (MLSS) concentration. Pushing high flux (e.g., >25 LMH) in thick industrial sludge (>12g/L) will result in rapid EPS (Extracellular Polymeric Substances) fouling and irreversible pore blockage. Always design conservatively based on your specific aeration tank biology.

// MODULE-04 / MECHANICAL COMPATIBILITY

Seamless Retrofits.

Replacing MBR cassettes shouldn't require modifying your stainless steel headers or aeration grids. WANDONG OEM modules are engineered with exact dimensional tolerances to slide perfectly into your existing SUEZ, Toray, or Kubota frames.

// MODULE-05 / ENGINEERING ANATOMY

Deconstructing the Immersion Core.

Operating in thick, abrasive biological sludge requires uncompromising structural integrity. Explore the architecture that prevents fiber breakage and hair clogging.

3D Cross-Section of PET Braided Hollow Fiber and ABS Flat Sheet MBR Membrane
Internal Architecture

1. PET Braided Support (Hollow Fiber)

Standard PVDF fibers snap under the violent agitation of MBR aeration. Our HF series features a woven PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) inner tubular braid. The PVDF active layer is coated directly onto this braid, resulting in a terrifying tensile strength of >600N. Zero broken fibers, guaranteed.

2. Rigid ABS Backing (Flat Sheet)

For extreme industrial MLSS, our FS series utilizes a rigid ABS backing plate. The PVDF membrane is ultrasonically welded to this plate. The physical gap between plates ensures that hair, fibrous materials, and thick sludge can never tangle or clog the module.

3. Integrated Aeration Grids

Both architectures rely on coarse bubble aeration installed directly beneath the modules. The rising air bubbles continuously scour the membrane surface, shaking off the biological cake layer and providing oxygen to the biomass simultaneously.

// MODULE-06 / OPERATING LIMITS

Comprehensive Operating Limits.

Strict adherence to these parameters ensures optimal performance and validates the 12-month limited warranty.

Typical Operating TMP -10 to -30 kPa (Vacuum)
Maximum Operating TMP -55 kPa (-8 psi)
Max MLSS (Hollow Fiber) 12,000 mg/L
Max MLSS (Flat Sheet) 18,000 mg/L
Operating pH Range 5.0 - 9.5
Cleaning pH Range (CIP) 2.0 - 10.5
Maximum Operating Temperature 104°F (40°C)
Max Chlorine Exposure (NaOCl) 1,000 ppm (for CIP)

Filtrate Quality Guarantee

  • Turbidity: ≤ 1.0 NTU (Consistently <0.1 NTU in optimal conditions).
  • TSS: < 1 mg/L (100% retention of activated sludge).
  • SDI: < 3.0 (Direct feed to RO systems).

Aeration & Pumping Protocol

MBR systems require strict PLC sequencing to prevent irreversible fouling:

  • 1. Relaxation Cycle: Suction pumps MUST operate on a cycle (e.g., 10 mins ON, 2 mins OFF) to allow air scouring to clear the membrane surface.
  • 2. Continuous Aeration: Coarse bubble aeration must run continuously during the suction phase.

// MODULE-15 / TECHNICAL FAQ & WARRANTY

Hardcore FAQ.
Engineering-Grade Answers.

Should I choose Hollow Fiber or Flat Sheet for my project?
It depends entirely on your wastewater profile:

1. Choose Hollow Fiber (HF) if you are treating municipal sewage or light industrial wastewater with good pre-screening (e.g., 1mm fine screen). It offers the lowest CapEx and highest packing density.
2. Choose Flat Sheet (FS) if you are treating high-concentration industrial effluent, landfill leachate, or if your site lacks reliable fine screening. FS cannot suffer from hair clogging and tolerates much higher MLSS (up to 18g/L).
Are your HF cassettes compatible with SUEZ ZeeWeed 500D?
Yes. Our WD-HF-340 and WD-HF-370 cassettes are engineered with the exact same dimensions (2198 x 844 x 49 mm) and permeate/aeration header connections as the SUEZ ZW500D series. You can slide them directly into your existing stainless steel racks.
Why is the "PET Braided Support" so important for Hollow Fibers?
In an MBR tank, the coarse bubble aeration violently shakes the fibers to prevent sludge buildup. Cheap, unsupported PVDF fibers will stretch and snap within months, allowing raw sewage to contaminate the permeate. Our PET braided inner tube provides a tensile strength of >600N, making the fibers virtually unbreakable under normal operation.
What is your warranty policy?
We provide a strict 12-Month Limited Warranty against manufacturing defects (such as potting resin failure or delamination). The warranty is voided if failure is caused by exceeding the maximum TMP (-55 kPa), exceeding the maximum chlorine exposure limit, or failing to implement proper pre-screening (e.g., missing a 1-2mm fine screen for HF modules).
How often should we perform Chemical Cleaning (CIP)?
MBR systems require two types of cleaning:

1. Maintenance Cleaning (MC): Usually performed once a week using a low concentration of Sodium Hypochlorite (NaOCl) to remove light bio-fouling.
2. Recovery Cleaning (CIP): Performed every 3 to 6 months using higher concentrations of NaOCl (for organics) and Citric Acid (for inorganics) when the TMP approaches the maximum limit.
How do you guarantee there are no broken fibers or leaks before shipping?
Every single WANDONG MBR module undergoes a rigorous Vacuum Decay Test (Integrity Test) at our ISO 9001 facility before packaging. We apply a vacuum to the permeate port and monitor the decay rate to ensure 100% of the fibers and potting resin are perfectly intact. The hardcopy test certificate is included in every crate.
